Worcation 2020 – online

Worcation 2020 – online

Worcation – an international youth exchange, which has already been taking place for 13 years in the European City of GörlitZgorzelec, is being transferred to the online world for the first time. This year’s online Worcation will take place from 25 July – 7 August 2020. The participants will be provided with a communication platform. They will also have an opportunity to participate in the programme prepared for them.

The following programme items will be made publicly available:

– official opening of the Worcation on July 25th at 6:00 pm with an online guided tour on the grounds of the Memorial Site Stalag VIII A;

Spoken Word Online Workshop by Jessy James LaFleur, starting on Sunday, July 26th at 6:00 pm, where participants will learn how to write texts to be performed on stage as well as how to use facial expressions and gestures to breathe life into words;

– a lecture by Sabine Kirst on Wednesday, August 5th at 6:00 p.m. on Hate Speech and its impact on democracy”. The event is organised in cooperation with the Saxon State Centre for Political Education.

All of the events organised within the Online-Worcation 2020 will be held in English. The complete programme can be found below.
